Inspiration Drive

Moving into a new house in Houston, this Canadian family came to InsideOut Environments searching for a complete backyard remodel. Their goal: create a modern aesthetic that could still match the warmth of the home’s interior, all while providing an environment their nieces and nephews could enjoy when visiting. 

Our solution? Building out a pool, outdoor kitchen and decking to go along with the existing covered patio. And of course, bringing it all to life with simple landscaping , LED lighting and artificial turf. Creating a low maintenance and always usable back lawn.  

The pool included a spa with a tanning shelf, two bubblers and an umbrella holder. Pulling in the desired aesthetic, we used a porcelain waterline tile, paired with arctic white pebble plaster. The porcelain, matching the interior of the home, was continued through to the pavers, creating a smooth and sophisticated look. 

The outdoor kitchen, created in an L shape to more efficiently use the space, bringing its own level of customization. We included a Bull premium outdoor fridge to hold all the drinks and potential food ingredients needed for the wood burning pizza oven, Bull Grill and EGG smokers. Along with the custom buildout for the smoker, we crafted a custom firewood nook buildout to ensure there was a close space to store their wood. To finish off the look, InsideOut Environments built the kitchen out of grey painted brick, matching the existing house look. Finally, no custom outdoor kitchen is complete without drawers and granite countertops. 

Today, the family at Inspiration Drive loves their remodeled backyard.
